If you or someone you care for is in need of a guided session for more complete healing and recovery from any challenge that life has dealt — pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, fears, phobias, grief or loss — Lura is regularly available in person, by phone, and by Zoom to offer guidance and teach you how to heal from the inside out.
Most initial sessions can be booked within two weeks.
The initial adult session is always two hours. There is some homework involved in preparing to heal your life (click here for sample pdf: Homework for Initial Appointment – LivingALOT).
Children’s sessions are typically no more than one hour in duration, due to limited attention spans. They also tend to make healing “shifts” much more quickly!
If you have concerns about working at a distance, please relax. In all the time I have done these sessions, changes have ALWAYS been accomplished whether in person, by phone, or in an online Zoom session. Maximized Healing, together with NLP, TIME Techniques and Hypnotherapy tools, is an amazing process for real changes, real results and real healing. Most of the daily sessions are domestic and international Zoom sessions. I love watching the healing as it happens — it’s a beautiful thing!
What is involved in a private session? First you prepare your “Life List” which is a bullet point list of all the stuff that has happened in your life, clear back to conception – really! But only BULLET POINT content — like a grocery list. Do not write out the trauma and drama that happened during the event. When you talk about it or write about it, or even when you just sit around and think about it, you FEEL it. Thoughts trigger feelings. No need to begin feeling badly. All we need is the list. Why? We’re looking for coping skills, for the patterns that repeat in your life — those familiar places that you survived before — an often distressing place which your mind believes to be safe, even if logic does not agree!

Next, after emailing the list, just show up! Sometimes that’s the hard part. When our minds become aware that we are about to take control and change the way our automatic programs have run for years, they may go into high gear — headaches, stomach issues, or other discomforts may arise as the appointment time draws near. Whatever the issue, just show up, and let me know what you’re dealing with. We can always start with these issues and calm them first on our way to healing the problems that really brought you here.
Have something so bad in your past, whether recent or long ago, that you definitely do not want to share? Easy! You’ve come to the right place. We can do “Content Free Healing,” and you never have to share a word of what happened in the original event. Have an event that overwhelms you so much that you know you’ll never be able to get through a session while thinking about it and doing the work? Again — here is your Safe Place to Heal. With the “Tearless Trauma Technique” we can approach it from a distance, and by the time we’re done, you will have completed the process to “Feel it for the Last Time.” You will have gained full control over the issue, and it will no longer have any power over you. It’s wonderful!
When a session begins, we start with a couple of good memories. I like to begin with something that always makes you smile or laugh first, and then find a memory where you felt safe, protected or loved. These anchors are to remind us that given the choice, the body always chooses to feel good — so “good” is where we begin. Then we clean up the rest. Suddenly our two hours are up, and you may feel tired, lighter or just peaceful. We always recommend that you drink lots of water following a session, for like a good massage, the body has been through an emotional time and needs care and rest to recover.
Once you have completed a session, you will have the tools to self-heal and self-soothe when those issues and events that cause you stress, anxiety, worries and concerns arise in your life. You will be able to both physically practice and mentally practice these tools so it is not obvious to those around you what is going on or why you are remaining so calm in the face of adversity. All sessions are confidential.

This online Zoom session is for all clients (ages 17 and under) who are working with Lura Dahlem for the first time. Children’s sessions are booked for one hour, but usually take much less time to complete, and require signed release from the parent or guardian who schedules the session.
